The "green" does not refer to the color, but means that this tripe has not been bleached or scalded and still retains some of the gastric juices. Green tripe is a rich source of amino acids and digestive enzymes, making this a healthy treat or dietary supplement.
Freeze-drying preserves most of the nutrients of the tripe, which can be fed as part of a meal, or broken into smaller pieces and given as treats. The tripe medallions can also be re-hydrated by soaking in warm water. Most dogs go wild for green tripe, which can be a bit smelly. Great for pets with digestive issues.
